San Fernando Valley welcomes a five story structure which houses the departments of Family, Child and Health programs for the citizens of greater Los Angeles Country.
The building exterior showcases 12ft. high stone columns made with Grey limestone which circle with perimeter of the structure. Columns were fabricated in four rounded segmented pieces and installed in two courses. The West and East entry are clad with the same Grey limestone. Honed Beige limestone panels sizing 24" x 48" x 11/4" clad the exterior walls using a mechanical attachment system on the South elevation.
The interior lobby and hallways are clad with Beige limestone panels in 12" x 24" pieces paired with Beige Terra Cotta in 12" x 48" pieces.
The interior lobby houses an art installation on the ceiling encouraging innovative approaches to civic art and providing access to artistic experiences in Los Angeles county.
